Branding Cows

It is that time again when the cows go on the mountain so, as tradition goes, we all headed to the farm to brand calves. My kids had a great time helping Kyle, and I had a hard time answering the questions about the hows and whys of making a bull calf into a steer. It was fun but just not the same without Dad. We always had fun branding calves with him.

We aren't Wimps, We all Hiked to TIMP!

For a "End of School" party, Grandma Jo and all the kids went to Timpanogos Cave. Every kid made it up the mountain and we saw Cave Popcorn, Cave Bacon, Cave Icecream, Soda Straws, and of course Stalagtites and Stalagmites.
After the hike we all went swimming at the Lehi pool. We had a great time, but we were all tired at the end of the day!

Fish Lake

It is typical lately for the Jeffs family for bad weather to mess with their weekend plans, but that doesn't stop us. We went to Fish Lake and Jared brought his boat. We had our swimming suits on, but should have had our snow pants. It was cold! Despite the cold, Bailey caught one fish on the boat, Wade rode his bike over all kinds of trails, and Chase was having so much fun that he didn't want to leave.

A Roller Coaster Ride!

Justin, a nephew from Alaska was in Utah so we went to Midway to see him. Grandma and Grandpa Huggard took us on the mountain roller coaster at Park City Ski Resort. We rode the ski lift all the way to the top just to have it rain on us. That shut Alpine slides down so we rode down the mountain in a SUV instead. We did get to ride the roller coaster and it was great fun. Chase took Grandpa with him on the second ride and told him, "Hold on Grandpa, this is going to scare the crap out of you!"

Building the Dream

Finally!!!
We have waited a long time to see a hole in the ground, but it is finally there! We actually have footers and the walls will be poured tomorrow. We are crossing our fingers to be in our new home by October. In the mean time, we have started making our rental feel more like home.

1-2-3 Strikes You're Out!

May was the month for playing ball! Bailey was on the Mona green team! She was quite the slugger! She was the best first baseman in the league and even got a double play on the last game.
Chase played Tee-Ball for the first time! He was on the Giants! You knew he was a serious ball player by the look on his face when he swung the bat and ran to first.
Wade played coach pitch and his team was the Mets. His favorite position was second base where he got some outs. He LOVED baseball!
