Fun in the Sun

We had to get out of the WIND! I have never seen such strong winds as I have here in Central. We went to St. George with Jasa, Jana, their families and my mom. We had a great time at laser tag. It was the Huggards vs everyone else. Is there any question on who won? We did-of course:) We swam at the motel and spent the next day hanging out on the beach and swimming in the lake. My mom brought cake and ice cream for my birthday and the kids totally enjoyed every minute of their day (except the car ride home). The water was ICE cold. It made my feet hurt to wade through it, but that doesn't seem to bother kids. We found some great rocks to jump off. Bailey and Wade both took the icy plunge. Chase was content swimming with a duck. It was a ton of fun!

The Hunt Never Ends

So whenever we can squeeze in a hunting trip, we do. We have seen lots and lots of turkeys, just not Toms. We sure have fun on our hikes and see lots of other wildlife. I sure have 3 little camo cuties!

The End!

So it officially marks the last day of school around here when everyone hops on their bikes at 7:00 in the morning and rides to school in Monroe. It is a 6 mile ride and WOW there were quite a few kids riding down the road. The cops came to escort the event. I think it is a great way to end the school year.

Wade's Tooth

So after YEARS of anticipation, Wade finally lost his first tooth. Yes he is done with first grade, and his teeth are just barely falling out. He went to church on Sunday and told everyone how his dad had kicked him and his tooth fell out. The story was true. During a wrestling match between him and his dad, James' foot struck Wade in the mouth. Then there was a little panic because we couldn't find the tooth--but there it was, stuck on James' sock. It is amazing how something SO SMALL could be the source of such happiness.

We're #1

So here are the cutest baseball players ever! They all love it. Bailey decided a couple weeks ago that she wanted to be a pitcher. She started practicing and starts as her teams pitcher. She is only 9 and plays in the 12 year old league. She doesn't let things bother her, except when she gets her friends out. During our game on Thursday, she had no walks and quite a few strike outs! Wade loves to field ANY ball that is hit--and sometimes gets annoyed that he can't run ALL the way around the bases when he hits. And then there is our T-ball slugger Chase. We love watching T Ball just to see the determined look on Chase's face when he hits the ball and then runs around the bases.

Chase's Hero

So this is a picuture of my Grandpa Hansen with Chase. Chase has his hat on, and he thinks he is so cool! My grandma and grandpa are such amazing people. If you want to know the secret to life--visit them for a while. They are truly happy and they are always on the go, even at age 82. It was great to have them stop for a visit on their way to Mesquite!

Play Ball!

Just thought I would vent my frustration that always comes about during the month of May. I do this to myself, but ALL we do is baseball, baseball, and of course lots of softball. Between my three kids we have 5 practices and at least 6 games every week!!! AHHHHH! They absolutely love it, but I am definitely looking forward to my week of peace in Hawaii!

AGAIN!

Yes, here we are again, digging trenches for yet another sprinkling system. This is the fourth sprinkling system we have installed. You would think we would get a little wiser over the years and purchase a home that has the landscape finished, but no. I really can't wait to have grass, because I have so MUCH DUST in my house.

Time Flies!

Where did the last four years go?!? My sweet little guy graduated from preschool and I don't know if I am very happy about that. It seems like just yesterday that Bailey was graduating from preschool in Mona and now she is done with third grade. It really is a strange to think that all my kids will be in school next year. I am so thankful for my three little sweethearts, they are such great kids.

So this is Chase in his program with Mrs. Carma. He was super cute. After years of debate, he will be going to kindergarten next year. I hope that is the right decision. We sure love this little guy and all his loves that he shares with our family.

A Celebration Weekend

There was quite a bit of partying going on in Emery County this weekend! Jana had a birthday, Tylee had a birthday, Bodee was blessed on Sunday and it just happened to fall on Mother's Day. We took our boat down for the celebration. I am pretty sure the water would have put anyone into quick hypothermia, but the boat ride was a blast. This was the maiden voyage and we had to see if the boat would float. We had a great time, even though we came home sunburned.

Bodee is such a cute little thing. Jared blessed him on Sunday. Our family has way to many little kids to have a quiet Sunday meeting, so yes, we did cause a little raucus in the middle of Sacrament meeting. The speakers just commented that it was nice to hear real life going on. We then got together for dinner afterward and played a great game of soccer.

I am so thankful for the mom in my life. She is the most amazing person in the world. She is always thinking of others and always has so much fun! I really admire her and how she lives her life. I am also so thankful for Carol. She is such a sweet Grandma and I am thankful that my kids are blessed to have her in their lives. I am truly surrounded by amazing people!

My New Adventure

So after weeks of anticipation, I got a call saying I got an elementary job in the district!!!! I am SO EXCITED! I will be teaching 4th grade in Monroe. 4th grade is the one grade that I haven't taught, so now I can truly say that I have done it all. Bailey just happens to be going into 4th grade next year, so she will be in my class. I really hope that works out OK. Anyway, now I know how I will be spending my summer--making plans for next year. It is just really amazing how Heavenly Father looks out for me. Things always seem to work out as long as you trust in Him. I am so thankful for the years I was able to stay home with my little kids and now I am so excited to be working! I really do love to Teach! I am a little nervous but oh so EXCITED!!!

Wild TURKEY Chase!

Yes, my 9 year old daughter has a turkey tag! She is so excited! Bailey and her dad have been all over the mountains this weekend hunting for the BIG ONE. James had all the kids Friday morning hunting the mountains in Marsvale while I went to work. It was snowy and 19 degrees outside, so I was glad I had to work that morning. I think my boys must have got pretty cold because the next day, they stayed home with me and let Bailey and James go alone. So while we spent the day at Kade's birthday party, Bailey looks like she just played in the mud. They did see LOTS of hens, but no toms. She is a little discouraged, but she is not giving up. We have baseball every night this week, so I guess we will see if she finds a tom next weekend.

Motorcycles

When you have little boys, I guess you've got to have little motorcycles. We found some training wheels to go on the motorcycle and now Chase is crusin' around all over too. It is a good thing that we haven't planted our pasture in the back because it has become the race track. All my boys want to do is ride motorcycles and play baseball!
